A Higher Anarchy: Chapter 1

Everyday there are over 150,000 people whose lives are ended every day. All kinds of people suffer death; drug abusers, murders, and even children. No one can escape the inevitable circle of life that is our daily lives... except me. My name is Damion Flecher, and I am 23 years old. I attend Barwood University of Law. I spend all my time, in and out of my courses, finding loopholes. Today I found a loophole, or glitch if you will. Today, I found a way to “cross over” to the other side. “Shut up!, your lying.” is what your probably thinking, or at least what a sane person would think. No, you are a person who's religious beliefs are nothing but a cheap label you wear to fit in. Your curious are you not? Well I guess that if I must tell this story that I shall tell it the right way.

CRASH! The ship shook violently after being mercilessly pounded by asteroids. I fought hard at the wheel get back in control of the damaged ship, barely missing a small planet. Again, I swung the wheel to the left, in a fruitless attempt to avoid an incoming satellite. It was too late though, and the ship collided with the satellite.
«The FCI are probably going to be thrilled when they find out you wrecked a three billion dollar satellite,» said Ben.
Yeah, that’s Ben alright, never missing the opportunity to make fun of my bad driving. I would like to see how he would handle a thirty ton space ship that’s missing its tail… The best way to describe Ben? Well, try to picture a thirty-year old who’s spent most of his life at McDunwald’s, and that’s just about how my commander looks.

This is it. The Machines have risen out from the center of the earth. They crawl out of the resting place, one by one million. Years ago, before the earth was habitable, before humans, machines were created. Terribly hated by their creator, the machines were forced to spend the rest of their days in the very core of the earth. But that has not stopped them from regenerating their strength.

Now is your time to fight or die. They are coming for each and every last one of us. They despise us. They were here first, and deserve the right to be loved. Or so they believe.
